Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA), which rose 7.88% or 46.22 points to trade at 633.00 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) added 2.84% or 1.170 points to end at 42.400 and Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) was up 2.70% or 0.52 points to 19.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO), which lost 3.59% or 1.180 points to trade at 31.700 in late trade. PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) declined 2.30% or 4.72 points to end at 200.16 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) shed 2.13% or 1.890 points to 86.800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 149 to 104 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.29% or 3.70 to $1269.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $49.19 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.05 to trade at $51.87 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 1.04% to 18.8281, while EUR/MXN fell 0.82% to 20.5180.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 98.87.
