Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Utilities and Food Producers & Processors sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 10.00% or 2.90 points to trade at 31.91 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) added 6.39% or 8.95 points to end at 149.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 4.60% or 6.55 points to 149.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included S2M (CS:S2M), which lost 4.25% or 11.00 points to trade at 248.00 in late trade. Risma (CS:RIS) declined 3.42% or 4.00 points to end at 113.00 and Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CS:AGMA) shed 3.30% or 89 points to 2610.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 18 and 11 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.36% or 0.17 to $47.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $50.67 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.42 to trade at $1227.62 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.8220, while USD/MAD fell 0.48% to 9.8950.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 99.16.
