Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Distributors and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1), which rose 5.81% or 90 points to trade at 1640 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) added 5.17% or 8.60 points to end at 175.00 and Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) was up 4.95% or 50 points to 1060 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Taslif (CS:TSF1), which lost 5.94% or 1.90 points to trade at 30.10 in late trade. Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) declined 3.37% or 3.70 points to end at 106.00 and Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA) shed 3.08% or 33.0 points to 1037.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 18 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.76% or 0.80 to $44.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.47% or 0.69 to hit $46.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.58% or 7.55 to trade at $1300.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.02% to 10.8610, while USD/MAD rose 0.01% to 9.7887.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 97.23.
