Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Construction & Building Materials and Food Producers & Processors sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CTM (CS:CTM), which rose 6.36% or 35.00 points to trade at 585.00 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) added 6.18% or 1.21 points to end at 20.78 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) was up 4.73% or 56 points to 1239 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SMI (CS:SMI), which lost 5.93% or 158 points to trade at 2507 in late trade. Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) declined 2.50% or 0.50 points to end at 19.50 and Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) shed 1.82% or 10 points to 540.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 16 and 11 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.26% or 0.59 to $46.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.54% or 0.76 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.81% or 10.80 to trade at $1316.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.14% to 10.8820, while USD/MAD rose 0.21% to 9.7601.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 95.99.
