Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Transport and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which rose 5.67% or 1.39 points to trade at 25.90 at the close. Salafin (CS:SLF) added 3.63% or 28 points to end at 798 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 3.59% or 1.98 points to 57.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CDM (CS:CDM), which lost 9.99% or 44 points to trade at 396 in late trade. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) declined 9.95% or 5.31 points to end at 48.04 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) shed 5.99% or 6.35 points to 99.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.49% or 0.94 to $36.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.31% or 0.92 to hit $38.92 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.23% or 15.00 to trade at $1238.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.06% to 10.9680, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.6217.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 94.52.
