Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Auto & components, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Media sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which rose 2.30% or 1.35 points to trade at 60.05 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 1.53% or 0.75 points to end at 49.64 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) was up 1.51% or 1.8 points to 121.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which lost 3.77% or 1.18 points to trade at 30.12 in late trade. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) declined 2.04% or 4.6 points to end at 221.1 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 1.86% or 0.39 points to 20.62.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 103 to 65 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.30% or 0.87 to $36.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.28% or 0.91 to hit $38.93 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.38% or 16.90 to trade at $1240.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.01% to 9.4832, while USD/NOK rose 0.09% to 8.3277.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 94.42.
