Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Transport and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OL:YAR), which rose 2.15% or 6.8 points to trade at 322.4 at the close. P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) added 1.34% or 4.00 points to end at 303.00 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 1.07% or 1.5 points to 141.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 7.26% or 1.42 points to trade at 18.15 in late trade. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) declined 5.23% or 12.1 points to end at 219.4 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 4.38% or 2.12 points to 46.23.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 121 to 56 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 4.14% or 1.98 to $45.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.98% or 2.02 to hit $48.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.47% or 18.32 to trade at $1230.18 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.11% to 9.5231, while USD/NOK rose 0.30% to 8.6776.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 98.70.
