Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Auto & components and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL), which rose 3.94% or 1.42 points to trade at 37.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 3.73% or 0.5 points to end at 12.5 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 2.90% or 1.6 points to 55.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which fell 5.56% or 16.9 points to trade at 286.9 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) declined 2.92% or 24.0 points to end at 798.5 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 2.58% or 0.35 points to 13.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 85 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.40% or 1.42 to $43.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.47% or 1.55 to hit $46.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.83% or 8.90 to trade at $1075.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.2067, while USD/NOK fell 0.08% to 8.6429.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 99.64.
