Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Energy, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Auto & components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL), which rose 7.49% or 5.0 points to trade at 71.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) added 3.88% or 1.4 points to end at 38.3 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) was up 3.41% or 1.55 points to 47.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG), which fell 1.72% or 1.10 points to trade at 62.75 at the close. Telenor ASA (OSLO:TEL) declined 1.66% or 3.0 points to end at 177.6 and Schibsted ASA A (OSLO:SBSTA) was down 1.59% or 4.5 points to 277.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 81 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.99% or 0.44 to $44.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.18% or 0.58 to hit $48.94 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.60 to trade at $1093.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.20% to 9.0601, while USD/NOK fell 0.22% to 8.2606.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 97.64.
