Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Energy, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG), which rose 1.65% or 1.70 points to trade at 104.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Schibsted ASA A (OSLO:SBSTA) added 1.22% or 3.4 points to end at 281.2 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) was up 1.13% or 8.5 points to 761.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS), which fell 3.21% or 5.6 points to trade at 168.7 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) declined 2.82% or 2.0 points to end at 69.0 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR) was down 2.57% or 1.21 points to 45.79.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 73 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.13% or 8.5 to 761.5.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.44% or 0.63 to $44.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.38% or 1.17 to hit $50.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.15% or 12.60 to trade at $1106.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.51% to 9.0315, while USD/NOK fell 0.64% to 8.2145.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.41.
