WARSAW, Oct 19 (Reuters) - The Polish unit of French Orange
ORAN.PA is analysing the impact of the planned investments in
the new fast internet services on its financial situation, the
company said on Monday.
Orange Polska will pay 3.2 billion zlotys ($856.97 million
for new frequencies which will allow it to offer fast LTE
internet, it said after regulator UKE ended the new frequencies
auction.
"Orange assumes that payments (for the new frequencies) will
be made either in the end of 2015 or at the beginning of 2016.
The payment will be financed from current and new loans from
(France's) Orange," Orange Polska said in a statement.
Analysts say the high price Orange Polska agreed to pay
might weigh on its profitability and therefore future dividend
payouts.
Orange Polska said in a statement that it will publish more
information regarding the planned investments' impact on its
financial situation on Oct. 21, along with the release of its
third-quarter results.
