Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.69% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 5.63% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.250 at the close. Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM:ENE) added 4.36% or 0.230 points to end at 5.500 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 2.92% or 0.650 points to 22.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 3.33% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.450 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 2.70% or 0.010 points to end at 0.360 and Edegel (LM:EDE) shed 1.22% or 0.030 points to 2.420.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 9 and 14 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.04% or 0.49 to $47.82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $50.74 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.21 to trade at $1225.11 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2838, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5686.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 99.53.
