Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 5.65% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.243 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) added 4.68% or 0.110 points to end at 2.460 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 3.21% or 0.060 points to 1.930 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which unchanged 6.25% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.04 in late trade. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 4.54% or 0.300 points to end at 6.300 and Sider (LM:SID) shed 3.90% or 0.015 points to 0.370.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 15 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.64% or 0.80 to $48.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.39% or 0.20 to hit $51.17 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.66 to trade at $1258.16 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2475, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5440.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 98.78.
