Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Services and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 6.20% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Ferreyros (LM:FER) added 4.10% or 0.080 points to end at 2.030 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was up 2.13% or 0.050 points to 2.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which lost 4.91% or 0.320 points to trade at 6.200 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 4.47% or 0.110 points to end at 2.350 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) shed 3.75% or 0.450 points to 11.550.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 11 to 10 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.26% or 0.13 to $49.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $52.40 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.97% or 12.34 to trade at $1265.16 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.02% to 3.2460, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 98.72.
