Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 3.85% or 0.015 points to trade at 0.405 at the close. Meanwhile, Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 3.75% or 0.015 points to end at 0.415 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) was up 3.75% or 0.006 points to 0.166 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 4.23% or 0.190 points to trade at 4.300 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.82% or 0.003 points to end at 0.162 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was down 1.67% or 0.020 points to 1.180.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.46% or 0.21 to $45.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.75% or 1.78 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.40 to trade at $1121.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.15% to 3.2240, while EUR/PEN rose 0.06% to 3.5867.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 95.83.
