Proactive Investors - Spectral AI Inc (NASDAQ:MDAI) announced that it has appointed Peter Carlson as its chief financial officer.
Carlson has previously served as CFO at MiMedx Group, chief operating officer at Brighthouse Financial, and chief accounting officer at MetLife (NYSE:MET).
“As the new CFO of Spectral AI, Pete brings an exceptional track record as a senior financial executive at several public companies in multiple industries, including two Fortune 50 entities, and most recently at a healthcare company focused on chronic and hard-to-heal wounds,” Spectral AI CEO Wensheng Fan said in a statement.
“A highly qualified and respected leader, Pete has made a difference by leading critical strategic partnerships, driving significant creative financial transactions, and leveraging deep relationships in the capital markets.”
Carlson said he was excited to work with Spectral AI, which he said has game-changing healthcare technology in the acute and chronic wound care space that he anticipates will improve the quality of patient care and reduce costs in the overall healthcare system.
“The growth and value potential for Spectral AI are significant,” Carlson said.
“My focus will be on informing investors and capital providers about the business opportunities made possible by the breakthrough technology the team developed.”
The company said that Carlson will replace Nils Windler who will stay on to support Carlson’s transition into the CFO role and provide financial accounting support to Spectral AI.
Spectral AI is a Dallas-based predictive AI company focused on medical diagnostics for faster and more accurate treatment decisions in wound care, with initial applications involving patients with burns and diabetic foot ulcers.
