Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 1.90% or 6.2 points to trade at 333.3 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 1.82% or 6.7 points to end at 375.7 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 1.42% or 1.2 points to 86.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 4.30% or 0.74 points to trade at 16.54 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 0.76% or 2.0 points to end at 262.1 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) shed 0.61% or 0.98 points to 158.82.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 396 to 224 and 44 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.15% or 0.09 to $61.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $67.69 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.30 to trade at $1318.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.00% to 9.8133, while USD/SEK rose 0.45% to 8.1952.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 92.04.
