Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.15% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 4.58% or 2.38 points to trade at 54.38 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 1.80% or 1.40 points to end at 79.15 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was up 1.72% or 0.60 points to 35.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which lost 3.79% or 20.0 points to trade at 508.0 in late trade. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 1.51% or 14.5 points to end at 948.0 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 1.46% or 0.57 points to 38.43.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 349 to 339 and 73 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.30% or 0.16 to $52.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.75% or 0.42 to hit $55.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 7.65 to trade at $1240.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.12% to 9.4453, while USD/SEK fell 0.69% to 8.8602.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 100.56.
