Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.51% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 7.58% or 5.50 points to trade at 78.10 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 4.43% or 2.40 points to end at 56.55 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 3.79% or 1.97 points to 53.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs), which lost 6.27% or 9.7 points to trade at 145.0 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.80% or 1.04 points to end at 36.10 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 2.28% or 5.4 points to 231.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 358 to 255 and 73 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.24% or 1.18 to $53.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.43% or 1.34 to hit $56.42 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.99% or 11.80 to trade at $1186.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.28% to 9.4517, while USD/SEK rose 0.47% to 8.8591.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.72% at 100.63.
