Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.60% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 2.69% or 1.09 points to trade at 41.59 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 2.31% or 1.12 points to end at 49.52 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was up 2.24% or 3.1 points to 141.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.52% or 1.90 points to trade at 73.45 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.66% or 3.5 points to end at 207.0 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 0.97% or 2.40 points to 245.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 335 to 281 and 56 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.93% or 1.00 to $50.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.82% or 1.00 to hit $53.94 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.47% or 5.55 to trade at $1170.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.44% to 9.7682, while USD/SEK rose 0.10% to 9.1250.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 100.56.
