Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 2.85% or 5.00 points to trade at 180.50 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 2.14% or 1.4 points to end at 66.8 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 1.66% or 1.70 points to 104.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which lost 0.99% or 0.52 points to trade at 52.08 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 0.91% or 0.39 points to end at 42.57 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) shed 0.56% or 5.0 points to 895.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 382 to 311 and 106 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.63% or 0.78 to $48.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.41% or 0.71 to hit $50.91 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.58 to trade at $1248.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 9.5781, while USD/SEK rose 0.29% to 8.2317.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 94.00.
