Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.52% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 2.81% or 7.1 points to trade at 260.1 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.65% or 0.96 points to end at 37.14 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 2.57% or 4.5 points to 179.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 5.66% or 3.25 points to trade at 54.15 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 0.52% or 0.27 points to end at 52.08 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) shed 0.15% or 0.30 points to 193.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 361 to 260 and 57 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.15% or 0.08 to $53.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $55.45 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.65 to trade at $1199.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.10% to 9.4855, while USD/SEK fell 0.20% to 8.8305.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 100.02.
