Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.50% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 1.58% or 4.20 points to trade at 270.40 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 0.56% or 3.0 points to end at 539.0 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 0.34% or 0.6 points to 178.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 2.47% or 6.0 points to trade at 237.0 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 2.47% or 0.85 points to end at 33.55 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) shed 1.35% or 1.35 points to 98.55.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 511 to 170 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.81% or 0.39 to $47.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.98% or 0.50 to hit $50.46 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.55 to trade at $1249.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.00% to 9.5136, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 8.8005.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 99.42.
