Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.57% or 3.60 points to trade at 82.30 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 1.43% or 2.4 points to end at 170.0 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 0.80% or 1.7 points to 214.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 4.42% or 11.00 points to trade at 237.80 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) declined 2.72% or 7.7 points to end at 275.3 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) shed 2.71% or 6.8 points to 244.5.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 330 to 277 and 67 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.57% or 1.68 to $45.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.43% or 1.69 to hit $47.52 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.80 to trade at $1187.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 9.7657, while USD/SEK fell 0.10% to 9.1874.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 101.14.
