Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 0.51% or 1.00 points to trade at 196.70 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 0.48% or 0.35 points to end at 73.05 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.35% or 0.9 points to 254.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 3.56% or 1.27 points to trade at 34.37 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 2.39% or 1.55 points to end at 63.25 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) shed 1.31% or 1.50 points to 113.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 308 to 274 and 80 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.61% or 0.33 to $53.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.28% or 0.16 to hit $56.80 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.60% or 18.25 to trade at $1159.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 9.5713, while USD/SEK fell 0.83% to 9.1255.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 102.69.
