Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 2.92% or 4.10 points to trade at 144.70 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) added 2.91% or 3.1 points to end at 109.7 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 1.81% or 4.0 points to 224.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which lost 14.58% or 11.50 points to trade at 67.35 in late trade. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 2.44% or 6.9 points to end at 275.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 2.12% or 0.68 points to 31.34.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 313 to 237 and 65 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.68% or 0.30 to $43.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.94% or 0.43 to hit $45.37 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1253.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.06% to 9.1771, while USD/SEK fell 0.16% to 8.1158.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 94.46.
