Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 2.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 0.13% or 0.3 points to trade at 233.0 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) fell 0.13% or 0.20 points to end at 150.40 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.65% or 0.50 points to 76.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which lost 4.74% or 4.10 points to trade at 82.40 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.98% or 1.40 points to end at 33.74 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) shed 3.71% or 9.8 points to 254.7.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 411 to 137 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.65% or 0.30 to $45.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.13% or 0.54 to hit $47.23 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.01% or 25.45 to trade at $1291.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.34% to 9.1937, while USD/SEK fell 0.41% to 8.0371.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.64% at 93.13.
