Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKI), which rose 6.60% or 3.75 points to trade at 60.55 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 3.37% or 19.0 points to end at 582.5 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.49% or 2.3 points to 156.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 1.42% or 2.30 points to trade at 160.00 at the close. SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) declined 0.59% or 1.0 points to end at 168.4 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was down 0.58% or 0.60 points to 103.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 236 to 202 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.59% or 0.29 to $49.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.70% or 0.38 to hit $53.76 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 2.70 to trade at $1090.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.65% to 9.4267, while USD/SEK fell 0.04% to 8.6352.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 97.74.
