At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index fell 0.29%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap also declined. The TSX Venture dropped 0.72%, while the Smallcap was down by 0.54%.

- Equinox Gold (TSX:EQX): Declined 4.44% or 0.36 points to 7.75
- Toronto Dominion Bank (TSX:TD): Fell 3.49% or 2.84 points to 78.45
- New Gold (TSX:NGD): Dropped 2.19% or 0.080 points to 3.580

- Crude Oil for october delivery climbed 0.21 points to 72.14 a barrel.
- October Brent Oil Contract rose by 0.34% or 0.26 points to 76.31 a barrel.

- USD/CAD is just over 1.36.
- EUR/CAD is stable at 1.51 with a daily range of 1.5109-1.5162.
