Investing.com - Canadian equities started with gains on Thursday, with rises in all sectors, the most notable ones being the Renewable Energy and Clean Technology, Real Estate, Health Care, Consumer Discretionary Index and Utilities sectors.
At the market open in Toronto, the TSX Composite Index rose 0.42%. The TSX Venture and the TSX Smallcap also increased. The TSX Venture climbed 0.50%, while the Smallcap increased by 0.42%.

Pan American (TSX:PAAS) Silver NQ: Climbed 3.50% or 1.08 points to 31.92
Aya Gold & Silver Inc (TSX:AYA): Rose 2.99% 0.450 points to 15.510

CES Energy (TSX:CEU): Declined 2.31% or 0.180 points to 7.620
Intl Petroleum (TSX:IPCO): Fell 1.82% or 0.36 points to 19.47
First Quantum Minerals (TSX:FM): Dropped 1.37% or 0.25 points to 18.06
In Commodities Trading:
Crude Oil for August delivery fell 0.30 points to 81.80 a barrel.
September Brent Oil Contract is down by 0.47% or 0.40 points drop to 84.68 a barrel.
Gold Futures for August delivery rose 23.20 points to 2,402.90 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets:
USD/CAD cruises at 1.36.
EUR/CAD is at 1.47 with a daily range of 1.4733-1.4826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 104.042

Today's economic calendar in Canada is silent, while in the US side the CPI and employment numbers were released.
