Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Basic Metals and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 8.52% or 0.530 points to trade at 6.750 at the close. Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) added 4.62% or 0.55 points to end at 12.45 and Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) was up 4.57% or 0.300 points to 6.870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM), which lost 1.91% or 0.13 points to trade at 6.66 in late trade. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 1.50% or 0.19 points to end at 12.50 and Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK) shed 1.42% or 0.020 points to 1.390.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 293 to 73 and 39 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.54% or 6.91 to $1277.89 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.84% or 1.47 to hit $50.20 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.87% or 1.06 to trade at $55.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 3.5678, while EUR/TRY fell 0.46% to 4.1918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 93.40.
