Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Electricity and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which rose 4.49% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.930 at the close. Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) added 4.32% or 0.060 points to end at 1.450 and Selcuk Ecza Deposu Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:SELEC) was up 3.85% or 0.130 points to 3.510 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which lost 3.39% or 0.130 points to trade at 3.710 in late trade. DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) declined 2.84% or 4.90 points to end at 167.70 and Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) shed 2.83% or 0.230 points to 7.900.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 189 to 152 and 65 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.41% or 5.24 to $1277.04 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.37 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.20 to trade at $55.92 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.13% to 3.5717, while EUR/TRY rose 0.33% to 4.2008.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 93.36.
