Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Electricity and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO), which rose 9.16% or 14.70 points to trade at 175.10 at the close. Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) added 4.10% or 0.180 points to end at 4.570 and Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM) was up 2.37% or 0.54 points to 23.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which lost 3.05% or 0.220 points to trade at 7.000 in late trade. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 2.95% or 0.210 points to end at 6.920 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) shed 2.31% or 0.74 points to 31.26.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 226 to 121 and 58 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 4.32 to $1277.52 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.97% or 1.51 to hit $49.28 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 2.72% or 1.55 to trade at $55.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.84% to 3.6150, while EUR/TRY rose 0.90% to 4.2420.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 93.65.
