MyETF Thomson Reuters Asia Pacific ex-Japan Islamic Agribusiness is a Shariah-compliant exchange traded fund launched and managed by i-VCAP Management Sdn. Bhd. It is co-managed by CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad. The fund invests in the public equity markets of Asia Pacific region, excluding Japan. It seeks to invest in the stocks of companies operating in the agriculture sector, which include agricultural chemicals, forest & wood products, fishing & farming, agricultural machinery, fruit & vegetable processing, Halal animal slaughtering & processing, seafood product preparation & packaging, dairy products, and other food processing companies. The fund invests in the stocks of large-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of the Thomson Reuters Islamic Asia Pacific ex-Japan Agribusiness Index, by investing in the stocks of companies as per their weightings in the index. The fund does not invest in the stocks of companies such as adult entertainment, alcohol, cinema and broadcasting, conventional insurance, conventional financial services, defense, gambling, hotels, music, operating and non-operating interest income, pork, and tobacco.
