Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Consumer Staples and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 1.69% or 0.350 points to trade at 21.040 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) added 1.57% or 0.450 points to end at 29.050 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 1.44% or 1.26 points to 88.57 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which lost 1.88% or 9.530 points to trade at 498.460 in late trade. VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) declined 1.87% or 0.52 points to end at 27.26 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) shed 1.66% or 0.500 points to 29.630.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 47 and 8 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.05% or 0.60 to $1238.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.39% or 0.21 to hit $53.99 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $56.13 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.06% to 20.3653, while EUR/MXN fell 0.02% to 21.6111.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 100.92.
