Proactive Investors - Amaroq Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:AMRQ, AIM:AMRQ) has announced the successful initiation of the first underground mining blast at Nalunaq.

The blast was initiated at the 720-metre level, according to a statement from TSX-listed Amaroq.

Amaroq anticipates that the mine's productivity will significantly contribute to funding exploration initiatives and propelling growth across the company’s extensive portfolio in South Greenland.

Eldur Olafsson, CEO of Amaroq Minerals, lauded the achievement, stating: "I would like to congratulate the team on site at Nalunaq who, working alongside our contractor Thyssen Schachtbau, have reached a milestone moment."

Olafsson further updated on the progress at Nalunaq.

“Work at Nalunaq is progressing to schedule, with rehabilitation works now complete as we prepare to commence trial mining between 100 and 150 tonnes per day (tpd) from Mountain Block."

Amaroq Minerals focuses on identifying, acquiring, exploring, and developing gold and strategic metal properties in Greenland. Its main asset is the Nalunaq project, a property with an exploitation license that includes the Nalunaq gold mine.

Additionally, the company holds a portfolio of gold and strategic metal assets in Southern Greenland, covering the region's two known gold belts.
