Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Isramco L (TA:ISRAp), which rose 0.91% or 0.6 points to trade at 66.5 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 0.63% or 220 points to end at 35370 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was up 0.58% or 35 points to 6108 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 2.24% or 1350 points to trade at 59030 in late trade. Leumi (TA:LUMI) declined 2.14% or 29 points to end at 1326 and Discount (TA:DSCT) shed 1.81% or 12.0 points to 650.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 188 to 142 and 114 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 4.29% or 2.10 to $46.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 4.05% or 2.03 to hit $48.07 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.59% or 7.85 to trade at $1346.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.82% to 3.8845, while EUR/ILS rose 0.40% to 4.3145.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 96.01.
