Nov 10 (Reuters) -
* Poland's energy minister-designate Krzysztof Tchorzewski
said on Tuesday that potential consolidation of Poland's biggest
power groups is not an issue for now.
* Tchorzewski also said that he does not rule out power
companies investment in the troubled coal mining industry.
* Tchorzewski is the candidate for the Energy Minister in
the new government led by the conservative Law and Justice (PiS)
party. PiS won parliamentary election last month.
* The outgoing government also considered merging some of
the power firms - PGE PGE.WA , Tauron TPE.WA , Enea ENAE.WA
and Energa ENGP.WA but said it needed to focus on coal mines
restructuring first.
