TORONTO, March 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index closed higher on Friday, lifted by strong gains in oil and metal prices.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE ended the day up 39.11 points, or 0.25 percent, at 15,577.81.
