TORONTO, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index finished lower on Thursday, pressured by a retreat in energy stocks on Hurricane Irma concerns and bank stocks weighed by the Bank of Canada's interest rate hike on Wednesday.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 35.3 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 15,024.53.
Half of the index's 10 main groups were in negative territory.
