April 4 (Reuters) - Stock futures for Canada's main stock index edged higher on Thursday after three consecutive sessions of gains, with investors hoping for signs of progress in the U.S.-China trade negotiations.
June futures on the S&P/TSX index SXFc1 were up 0.08 percent at 7:00 a.m. ET.
Ivy Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data is expected to show the pace of purchasing activity in Canada, at 10:00 a.m. ET.
Toronto Stock Exchange S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE closed up 15.99 points, or 0.10 percent, at 16,279.86 on Wednesday. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were down 0.02 percent at 7:00 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 slipped 0.06 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 fell 0.12 percent. .N
