May 9 (Reuters) - Stock futures for Canada's main equity index were higher on Wednesday as oil prices jumped after U.S. President Donald Trump pulled the United States out of a nuclear agreement with Iran.
Trump's decision on Tuesday raised the risk of conflict in the Middle East, upsetting European allies and casting uncertainty over global oil supplies. futures on the S&P TSX index SXFc1 were up 0.27 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET.
Building permits data for March is due at 8:30 a.m. ET.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE rose 34.08 points, or 0.22 percent, to 15,842.71. Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were up 0.5 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were up 0.43 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were up 0.31 percent. .N
