TORONTO, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index inched higher in early trade on Monday, helped by gains in heavyweight financial and energy sectors while gold miners weighed.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 6.18 points, or 0.04 percent, at 15,179.21 shortly after the open.
