(Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday in broad-based gains led by financial stocks, with higher oil and gold prices lifting shares of material and energy companies.
* At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 66.54 points, or 0.41 percent, at 16,344.27.
