July 19 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened flat on Thursday, as energy stocks gained on higher oil prices and offset losses in the materials sector.
At 9:32 a.m. ET (1332 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite index .GSPTSE was up 9.75 points, or 0.06 percent, at 16,487.15.
