April 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell at open on Tuesday, tracking losses in global equities, after a U.S. threat to slap taxes on European goods and as fears of a global economic slowdown resurfaced.
* At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite index .GSPTSE was down 86.61 points, or 0.53 percent, at 16,320.68.
