Aug 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Friday, tracking global equities which tumbled following a plunge in the Turkish lira.
* At 9:30 a.m. ET (1330 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite index .GSPTSE was down 75.21 points, or 0.46 percent, at 16,341.77.
