Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.82% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Conconcret (CN:CIC), which rose 3.24% or 12.0 points to trade at 382.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 2.65% or 1500.0 points to end at 58000.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 2.20% or 720.0 points to 33500.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 1.75% or 70.0 points to trade at 3920.0 in late trade. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) declined 0.98% or 10.0 points to end at 1010.0 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (CN:ISA) shed 0.82% or 120.0 points to 14500.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 7 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.10% or 0.10 to $104.95 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.32% or 31.50 to hit $2350.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 7.30 to trade at $1293.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.41% to 3136.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.43% to 851.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.74% at 94.768.
