Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.04% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 1.74% or 500.0 points to trade at 29200.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.56% or 150.0 points to end at 9740.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) was up 1.52% or 200.0 points to 13400.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which lost 1.60% or 20.0 points to trade at 1230.0 in late trade. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) declined 0.97% or 380.0 points to end at 38700.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) shed 0.76% or 460.0 points to 60000.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 8 and 8 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.88% or 1.26 to $144.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.23% or 7.00 to hit $3033.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 4.25 to trade at $1325.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.49% to 2895.67, while BRL/COP fell 1.63% to 896.60.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.72.
