Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Investment, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.12% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV), which rose 2.21% or 600.0 points to trade at 27700.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.59% or 20.0 points to end at 1280.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.56% or 20.0 points to 1300.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 1.30% or 200.0 points to trade at 15200.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 0.67% or 80.0 points to end at 11860.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 0.65% or 4.0 points to 615.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 14 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.63% or 0.82 to $129.20 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.18% or 23.00 to hit $1924.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.61 to trade at $1224.31 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.14% to 3079.57, while BRL/COP fell 0.37% to 934.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 95.58.
